The Lord has been present in Rev. Posley’s life since birth. Rev. Posley believes that faith and walking with God is the foundation to a successful life.  October 10, 2004, Gregory understood his Ordered Steps and gave his first sermon at Zion Hill MBC-West.  In 2005, Dr. Aubrey D. Moore Sr., Pastor, Mount Bethel Baptist Church, VA; licensed Rev. Posley to Preach the Gospel.  He was appointed as Youth Pastor and later elevated to Generational Ministry, Minster in charge. 

 

In March 2009, Rev. Posley continued his work in ministry as an Associate Minister and Minister in Charge of the Pulpit under an ailing Dr. Jeffery L. Garth Jr., Zion Hill MBC-West.  In December 2009, Rev. Posley was Ordained into Ministry by Dr. Garth. 

In October 2010, after the announcement of Dr. Garth’s retirement, the Church Body elected Rev. Posley as Interim Pastor. 

On January 2, 2011, Rev. Posley actively took on the role and responsibility of Interim Pastor until the new Pastor,

Rev. Richard T. Patterson was installed.  

 

In 2011, Rev. Posley along with his wife, Dana founded Your Condition is Not Your Conclusion Ministry.  Under the direction of Rev. Posley, YC2 Ministry is and has worked closely in the 28th Ward to improve the quality of life for the residents of the ABLA Housing Development, his childhood neighborhood.  The mission of the ministry has always been to decrease the violence and to open the lines of communication within the community with the compassion of Christ.   

 

On February 8, 2015, Rev. Posley and family joined Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of

Rev. Dr. Ray C. Bonney.  Rev. Posley was appointed Assistant Pastor in January 2020.  On August 20, 2023, Rev. Posley was elected as the 8th Pastor of Pleasant Green MBC. 

 

Rev. Posley holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Virginia Union University and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity from American Baptist Institute.   Rev. Posley is a Veteran of the United States Navy and continues his 25 years of service as a federal employee. Rev. Posley has been married to his lovely wife, Dana for 25 years.  To their union, they have 4 children.
